Obituary For Mrs. Laura Ann Kimbrough

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Laura Ann Kimbrough on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Celebration of Life will be held , December 21, 2019 11:00am at New Life Church 2592 Flat Shoals Rd, Decatur GA 30034. Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2019 12-6pm at Grissom-Clark Funeral Home.

Mrs. Laura Ann was born on a beautiful Monday in Carrollton, GA on September 5, 1938 to the loving parents John & Sadie Mae Allen, who proceed her to enteral rest. She was the fifth of six children from this union. Laura Ann attended and graduated from Herring Street School in Decatur, GA. She confessed her Love for Christ at an early age. She joined New Life Church, where she attended for many years until her health began to decline. Laura Ann loved entertaining family and friends. Her favorite seat in the house was at the card table. She loved to laugh. Her smile and energy seemed to fill every room she entered. Laura Ann worked as an instrument technician with Dekalb Medical Center for over 35 years. Laura Ann departed this life for her enteral rest on December 17, 2019. She is proceeded in death by her brother, Donald Allen and sister, Sarah Frances Mitchell. Left to remember Laura Ann’s Legacy are her four children; Brince Allen, Marvis Allen, Derrick L. Kimbrough, and Toria Allen-Bacon (Tyrone), sisters; Ethel Mae Williams, Johnnie Mae Jenkins, Gladys Askew, Annette Thomas (Charles), Geraldine Anderson, Melinda Moreland, Lenora Lane, and Gretta Beale (Walter); brother, Milton Allen; grandchildren, Derrick Kimbrough Jr., Jessica Kimbrough, Deante Jones, Quatasha S. Allen, Marvis G. Allen Jr., and Kasha Stewart; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends.
