Obituary For Ronald Hastye

As all remain in extreme sorrow and astonishing disbelief, S. Jones F. and C. has been charged with the solemn responsibility to announce that Mr. Ronald Hastye, 68, of Enfield, NC has transitioned from this life into life eternal. Mr. Hastye, an educator in the Halifax County School System, made this permanent change of address on December 17, 2019.

The family has reserved Sunday, December 22, 2019 for family and friends to come and pay their respects during a Celebration of Life Service that is to be held at 2 pm, in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church, 577 W. Franklin St., Enfield, NC 27823.

Mr. Hastye body will lie in state 6 pm - 8 pm in the Reposing Room of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations on Saturday, December 21, 2019 for a public viewing.

Mr. Hastye along with his adored family will be escorted to the Cedarview Cemetery for Committal Rites.

Ronnie and I shared a close relationship while at Hampton. Years would go by and we would pick up right where we left off. His infectious smile and laugh could make you day. My heartfelt condolences and prayers for the family. He will be missed! Until we meet again...

My sincere condolences go out to the Hastye family. I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Hastye when my sons were in school. He loved children, especially his students, and it showed. He made a tremendous impact on those who knew and loved him. What you saw was what you got. He was always sincere and unwavering. So glad I got to see him about a year ago. Rest well Mr. Hastye.
