Kalon attended Lucy Ragsdale High School and Southwest Guilford High School. He attained many certifications from Guilford Technical Community College. Kalon was a member of Williams Memorial C.M.E. Church. As a child, he was on the children’s choir, an usher, an acolyte, a member of the step team and an active member of the boy scouts. Kalon loved music, had a passion for drawing and writing, and loved to eat. Kalon’s loyalty was like no other’s. He was a true friend and a fierce solder to all he loved. He will be truly missed.
Surviving relatives to treasure his memories are his daughter, Aaliyah Imani Belser of High Point, NC; his fiancé, Davida Brown of High Point, NC; his loving mother and father, Jay Winford and Gwyne Ewing of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Ariel and Nyshkia Ewing of Greensboro, NC; one very special brother, Maurlon Ewing; his best friends-two brothers, Quint Abney and Ruga; his maternal grandfather, Ralph Ewing; his paternal grandparents, Theodore Winford and Geraldine Winford of New York; Granny Allen and Kenny of Greensboro, NC; uncles, Joe of Chicago, IL, Will of New York; aunts, Delia (Gregory) Bates of High Point, NC, Kim (Ivan) Smith of Maryland, Erica of Florida, Leah and Trisha of Greensboro, NC, Deb of Cleveland, OH, Carla of High Point, NC; one niece, Gorgeous Copeland of High Point, NC; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial C.M.E. Church, 3400 Triangle Lake Road. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
