Obituary For Pearl Sheppard

Ms. Pearl Sheppard,77, Gadsden. Passed away Thursday December 26,2019. She is survived by her loving family.

- The Obituary -

Mrs. Pearl L. Sheppard was born on October 12, 1942 to the late Mrs. Mattie Carter and Mr. Howard Carter in Roanoke, Alabama. At an early age, Pearl confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her earlier years were spent as a member of the Church of Christ. Later she became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Pearl attended school in Wedowee, Alabama. On August 26, 1963 she joined Roy Lee Sheppard in Holy Matrimony. Together they had seven children.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Evans; brother, Willie Carter. Sr.; daughter, Robin Williams; son, Roy L. Sheppard, Jr. and her husband, Roy L. Sheppard, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: five children, Tony Sheppard of Gadsden, AL, Christopher (Jennifer) Sheppard of Gadsden, AL, Hollie (Tyrone) Tippins of Jacksonville, FL., Cindy (Omar) Grimmett of Gadsden, AL and Latasha (Walter) Hill of Pinson, AL; grandchildren, Jeffery (Feneshia) Yow, Sr., Jocelyn (Devounte) Ray, Chenetha Lindsey, Deontavius Robinson, Kiandria Robinson, Fatima Grimmett, Aminah Grimmett, Cameron Tippins, Jaceri Grimmett, Lyniece Hill, Tyrone Tippins, Jr., Terrel Tippins, Caylee Tippins and Walter Hill, III; great grandchildren, Jeffery Yow, Jr., Janiya Yow, Janae Yow, Quar’ Damien Riddle and Tyshonna Riddle; family and friends, Lisa Carter McElrath, Willie Carter, Jr., Faye Parker, Tara Evans, Michelle Carter, James Molden, Pearl Murray, Dorothy Bukhannan, Marth Kate Sims, Sheral Boley, Cornelia Cameron, Pat Wilson, Zach Dupree, Booker T. Sheppard and Diane Sheppard and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Saturday, January 4, 2019 at Oaklawn Cemetery, At 11:00am. Eulogist:Reverend Michael Roberson. Visitation will be Friday, 11am-8pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
