Obituary For Mrs. Lelia McDougle

Mrs. Lelia Tillman McDougle child of God, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and daughter of Mae G. Tillman and the late James Tillman was born December 31, 1955 in Cheraw, SC. She depart-ed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, while attending Annual Watch Night Service.

Lelia graduated from T. Wingate Andrews High School and began her working career immediately upon graduation. She ultimately retired from Bank of America Corporation after completing 20 years of successful service.

While serving at the Stanton Place Church she met and married the love of her life, the late Bishop Reginald McDougle, her husband of 26 years and together they raised one son.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Reginald McDougle; father, James Tillman, one sister, Gloria Little and two brothers, Marion Tillman and David Todd London.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Cynthia) Tillman, spiritual daughters, Cleopatra Little Tunnell (Jaz) of Cary, NC, Nathalie Coulanges and Christina Gilmore all of High Point; one sister, Clara Pickett; four brothers, Edward Tillman of High Point, NC, Rev. Kaslo Grant of Delaware, James Grant of Pageland, SC and Jason Grant of Cheraw, SC; her mother, Mrs. Mae Tillman of High Point, NC; one sister in-law, Lisa Bradley; grandchildren, Brandon, Brion, Tristian, Jaelin, Aliyah; godson, Derek Waden; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
