Obituary For Mrs. Vernordor Wilcher-Taylor

Vernordor Wilcher Taylor was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and nurturing friend. She was born to the late Lamar Wilcher and the late Erlethyer Revere Wilcher on March 17, 1946 in Barnesville, Lamar County, GA. Vernordor, a proud member of the Booker High School Class of 1963, was educated in the Lamar County School System. Early in life, Vernordor joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Paige. Throughout the years, she served diligently, passionately and faithfully until her death. Her service to the church included being president of the Usher Board. Vernordor spent 35 years of her life working in the textiles industry, but her true passion was her family. Vernordor was married to the late Lindsey Taylor until his untimely death in September of 1997. On Wednesday, December 25, 2019, the Lord decided that it was time to grant Vernordor her wings. She departed this earthly life and ascended to her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her sister, Erlethyer Wilcher. Vernordor leaves to cherish her memory three children, Cedric Taylor of Barnesville, GA, Yolanda Taylor Weaver of Atlanta, GA, and Bonita Taylor (Dr. Shannon) Flounnory of Sharpsburg, GA; two sisters, Vivadon (Bennie) Horton of Barnesville, GA and Patsy (James) Jackson of Forsyth, GA; nothing more to her than her eight grandchildren, Cierra Taylor, Joshlyn Taylor, Malachi Weaver, Noah Weaver, Solomon Weaver, Lindsey Flounnory, Tia Flounnory, and Tyce Taylor; sister-in-law, Linda (George) Holland and Annie Maude Taylor of Fort Valley, GA and Gloria Taylor of Culloden, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family members including Jalen (Brittan Funeral Service were held Monday, December 30, 2019 1:00 P.M.
