Jeanette Cottrell Ayers was born on February 23, 1951 to Ethel Mae Kendrick. She attended Sumner Hill High School. She was devout Christian. Jeanette lever her church and family. Along with raising three sons, she was employed with Frito Lay, Inc. for many years until her retirement. Jeanette loved to cook, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. She prepared large meals and shared them with her friends and the community. Her home was always a gathering place for family and friends.
Jeanette was active in the church where she was a Sunday School Teacher of class 2B, member of the United Christian Women's Ministry (UCWM) and Wednesday night Bible class.
Jeanette was preceded in death by one son, John Ayers.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Ethel Mae Kendric, two sons, Marcus Cottrell (Hiedie) and Ricky Ayers (Mary); two sisters Margaret Buckner and Paulette Brinson (Lee); six brothers, Roy Cottrell (Mary Nell); Sylvester Cottrell ( Peggy) , Danny Kendrick, Dennis Kendrick, , Ray Kendrick (Betsy) and David Howze, four grandchildren, Kiara, Marcus Deshun, Quantus and ShaDedra, four great grandchildren; Zakhya, Zakhra, Zakhary and Daphne, two special daughters; Teresa Martin and Lenora Tillman, two special friends, Daryl Haward and Jean Moore, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
