Ms.Loretta Nelson, departed this life on Friday, January 03, 2020 at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2020 at St. John A.M.E. Church, 220 Willie Bailey Street, Eatonton, Georgia, Reverend Simone Jones, Eulogist and Reverend Gwyneise Ballard Officiating.

Visitation hours will be Friday, January 10, 2020 from 2:00-6:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M.; Bernard's, The Eatonton Chapel.

My Mom fell at the nursing home and even though we were new there Loretta came in to see her and cried when she saw her. She had such a loving, kind and caring heart. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know her.

We went to the same salon for years and was schoolmates.I was very distraught hearing about Loretta’s transition. If there was ever a woman that I looked up to, it was Loretta. I have replayed conversations in my mind and I always ended up smiling or laughing. May God continue to protect Quent and Tyree as they go through this life change. I pray for peace for her family and prayers of comfort. I love you guys, thanks for sharing her with us.

Loretta was one one of my kindergarten students. Such a sweet child with a beautiful smile. And I always admired her loving family. I was very proud of Loretta's successful professional life. She must have been guided by God into the nursing field for I know she blessed everyone . To her sweet mother ... I pray for comfort to you which only God can give.
