Obituary For Mrs. Constance "Connie" Miller

Mrs. Connie Beatrice Miller quietly entered eternal rest at her residence on January 4, 2020. She was born to the late Raymond Alexander and Stacie Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Miller, Sr; three sisters, Maxine Ingram, Mildred Jenkins and Betty Black; five brothers, Richard Joyner, Ray Joyner, Lester Alexander, Bobby Alexander and George Alexander.

Connie was a lifelong resident of the Florence Community, where she attended Florence High School and attended service at Turner’s Chapel A.M.E. Church. She later became a member of Foster Grove Baptist Church in Jamestown, NC. She was loved by everyone’s life she touched, they would call her “Mama Connie”.

Surviving to cherish precious memories are two sons, Edward (Janice) Miller, Kevin (Patty) Miller all of High Point, NC; daughter, Deborah Ingram of Winston Salem, NC; three brothers, Arthur (Gloria) Alexander of High Point, NC, Leslie (Tina) Joyner of Allentown, PA and John (Shirley) Joyner of High Point, NC; two sisters, Patricia Joyner of Greensboro, NC and Joyce Frazier of Easton, PA; sister-in-law, Johnny Mae Alexander of High Point, NC; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special friends, Carolyn Bowman, Ida Fuller, Gracie Mae Watkins, Marybelle Gibson, Lucille Jackson and Diane Teasley.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at First Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
