Guest Book

Loretta, (Retta) my dearest and oldest friend. Best friends are sisters we choose. Sisters not by blood but by the heart. Nothing will ever take the moments or the memories we shared away. The Loretta that I will remember was selfless and full of laughter. Lord, thank you, for placing her in our lives. She will be truly missed but never forgotten. Ezekiel, Towanna, Mama Mary know that I will always be here for you. Lord, I prayed for her healing and now I know in my heart she has been restored, no more pain or suffering. Sleep on rest in peace my sista for we will meet again. Thank you for being my sister friend. Love always and forever Cynthia Alston

Loretta you will be truly missed but never forgotten. I will never forget how Loretta saved a student from drowning in Greensboro College pool. Loretta and one of our friends were walked over to the gym and we were looking for additional friends. Shortly after arriving in the gym, there was a girl screaming in the middle of the pool because she was drowning. I didn’t know how to swim and me along with another friend was looking for items to throw into the pool in order to help her. Loretta dived into the pool with all her clothes on and saved her life. After Loretta saved her life, she showed us the scars and bruises she received from the girl that was fighting her while she was trying to save her from drowning. From this act alone, Loretta taught me how to be courageous. And, she taught me that you must be willing to take the bruises, fight and scars that goes along with saving someone. A pure Biblical demonstration of how many are called but few are chosen. Rest on my sister friend as we will rejoice knowing you’re among the Angels looking over everyone. And to the family, I send my deepest heart felt sympathies to you. Please know you are definitely in my prayers. – Loretta’s friend from Greensboro College Gazelle Williams
