Obituary For John Thomas Napier Jr.

Mr. John Thomas Napier, Jr., was born on November 2, 1948 to the late Mrs. Fannie Mae Boyd Napier and the late Mr. John Thomas Napier, Sr. In Yatesville, Upson County, Georgia. He attended public school at the Cunningham School in Yatesville, GA. When he reached manhood, as most men during his time, he went to work at Thomaston Mills. He met and married Ms. Audrey Louise Lockett. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on July 8, 1966. To this union, three sons were born. He provided well for his wife and family. After the closing of the mill, he found employment at the Department of Transportation. He was employed with DOT for over fifteen years and later retired. During his leisure time, he enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Napier, John Henry Napier, and Melvin Napier; three sisters, Rosa Byrd Napier, January 1, 2020, the Lord called his name, he answered and went home to rest. His sudden departure saddened the hearts of his family and other love ones, but his memory will live on. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mrs. Audrey Napier of Yatesville, GA; three sons, Mr. Jerry (Angela) Napier of Yatesville, GA, Mr. Forest (Phyllis) Napier and Mr. Frederick (Charika) Napier both of Thomaston, GA; eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ms. Curley Napier, Ms. Iwilla Napier, and Ms. Barbara Napier all of Thomaston, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Mrs. Regina Napier of Salem, NJ, Mrs. Jewell Wilder, Mrs. Ada Finney, and Mr. Steven Lockett all of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives Funeral Service were held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 1:00 P.M.
