Mrs. Christine Elaine Vinson, 72, of 1007 Scenic Drive Shelby, NC left this earthly life to seek rest with the Lord, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at her residence. A native of Cleveland County, NC, she was born on May 17, 1947 to the late Flossie Robinson and Laymon Cornwell. She was a member of Jones Tabernacle C.M.E. Church and was retired from Shelby Elastics where she worked for over 30 years. Her smile and laugh would light up the room. She loved children and fostered many children throughout the years. She loved traveling and enjoyed family gatherings and singing. She would keep you laughing/smiling and could lift your spirit with her humor.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Chambers and step-son, Patrick Vinson.

Lefto behind to cherish her memories, her husband, Robert Vinson, Jr.; one sister, Deborah Manning; three sons, Jeffery McKinney (Janice), Login Vinson and Nicholas Vinson; three daughters, Jamaica Vinson, Hanna Vinson and London Vinson; along with four step-children, Keith Vinson (Linda), Robin Vinson Onuoha, Cedric Vinson, Sr. (Margie) and Wesley Vinson; four sisters-in-law, Valerie Hunt (Bill), Mary Merritt (Kenneth), Peggy Ponder (James) and Wanda Vinson; three brothers-in-law, Lester Vinson (Geraldine), Henry Vinson and Warren Vinson; two grandchildren, Demetria Hopper and Jefferey Card; twelve step-grandchildren, Cedric Vinson, Jr., Quatessica Vinson, Isreal Vinson, Cameron Vinson, Victor Onuoha, Elizabeth Onuoha, Destiny Onuoha, Kendrick Vinson, Keith Vinson, Jr., Darien Brewton, Makenna Vinson and Keenan Vinson; two great-grandchildren, Mkayla Corry and Nickolas Corry; best friends, Bridgett Mask, Quinesha Mask and Margaret Stone and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at Jones Tabernacle CME Church in Lawndale. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
