Obituary For Harry Sapp

Funeral service for Mr. Henry Lee “Harry” Sapp will be conducted 12 Noon Friday, January 24, 2020 at J. O. & Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 S. Johns St., Florence. , directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Mr. Henry “Harry” Lee Sapp, the son of the late Ulysses and Sheldonia Sapp was born on June 23, 1943 in Barnwell, South Carolina. On Sunday, January 19, 2020, Henry slept away in Heavenly peace.

Henry affectionately called “Harry” attended Public Schools in Barnwell, South Carolina and Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Henry relocated to New York City, where he resided and worked until he retired in 2005. He was employed as a professional truck driver and a Public School bus driver. After which he relocated to the city of Florence, South Carolina in 2006.

After a period of time, he reconnected with the love of his life Elder Millie Montgomery. They were united in holy matrimony on May 1, 2010 at Revivaltime Center of Praise in Florence, South Carolina.

Henry was preceded in death by; his parents, Ulysses and Sheldonia Sapp; three sisters, Lucille Bell, Willie Mae Sapp, and Helen Sapp; and one brother, Ernest Sapp.

Henry still has precious memories on this earth: his wife, Elder Millie Montgomery-Sapp; five daughters, Natasha Montgomery of South Carolina, Ernestine Jackson of Florida, Lorraine McDonald of New York, Diane Sapp of Tennessee, Crystal Brooker of New York; seven grandchildren; one brother, Ulysses (Lillie Mae) Sapp of North Carolina; two sisters, Ada Courtney and Betty Jean Jackson both of Florida; and a host of nephews; nieces; other relatives; and friends.
