Obituary For Sister Erma Naomi Calhoun

Mrs. Erma Calhoun of Marianna entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 20th at home surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was 71 years old. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bethel Star Missionary Baptist Church. She was active in the choir, the Missionary Society and taught Sunday School. Erma was employed at Florida State Hospital. She also worked at Russell Corporation before retiring from the Jackson County School Board at Sunland as a Paraprofessional. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. She leaves everlasting memories with; five children, Katrina Felton-Fairley (John) of Enterprise, Alabama, Rev. Christopher Felton and wife Tameika of Palatka, Florida, Angela ‘Shug’ Clemons, Neva Calhoun both of Marianna, Florida and 1SG(R) Shlonda Calhoun of Pensacola, Florida; five grandchildren, SPC Jalen Calhoun of El Paso, Texas, Nadia Wooden of Marianna, Florida, Solomon Fairley of Enterprise, Alabama, Adre’ana Clemons and Zakariah Bellamy both of Marianna, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Cathymae Rogers and Mrs. Jeraldine Rogers; three brothers, Mr. James A. Rogers, Mr. David Clemmons and Mr. Moses L. Spears; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, January 25th at 1p.m. at Second West Baptist Association Church with Moderator Riley Henderson, Rev. Jerome Cotton, Rev. Carlton Cotton, Min. Mark Fed and Min. Christopher B. Felton officiating. Interment will follow in the Orange Hill Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna by the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
