Obituary For Robert Williams, Sr.
"If you miss me from singing down here, then come on up to bright glory, I'll be singing up there." Deacon Robert James "RJ" Williams, Sr., fought a good fight." Deacon Williams was the widower of Ethel Mae Williams. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Yemassee where he served with the Deacons' Ministry. He was retired from the Ashton-Hill Manufacturing Company, Walterboro, SC. He was called from labor to reward on Monday, January 20, 2020 at his residence in the Jonesville community of Yemassee. The hours of visitation will be on Friday, January 24th, 4-8 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th, 1:00 pm in the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

I Tim Williams would like to relay my condolences to Brenda and the rest of the family for their loss I have lots of memories RJ but my mind goes back to all the great ties the head when I was coming up and they were singing and we were going from place to place in that little van RJ my dad Simon and the rest of the Gospel Lights (these 2 were great Friends). Lots of memories of him and renewed memories of my dad family please be blessed.amen
