Obituary For Mr. Franklin Moore McNeil

Franklin Moore McNeil, 62, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2020 at his home. Lovingly known as Unc or Nub, Frankie was born December 31, 1957 in Laurinburg, NC to the late Hazel McNeil and Whisky McKoy.

Unfortunately, Franklin was unable to work in his field after losing his fingers in an accident. He worked at various jobs in the Guilford County area. He had been disabled and unemployed for years. However, this didn’t stop his hustle, whether it was mowing lawns or washing cars, Unc was your man.

Franklin loved his family and friends. If he deemed you worthy of his friendship, you often became his friend for life.

Franklin will forever be remembered by his wife, (separated) Catherine McNeil; children, Tasha and Franklin, as well as his bonus children, Danielle and Tracey. Franklin will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Takh and Takari. Frank is also survived by his siblings: Eva Mae Rogers, Keigh McRavin ,Venta McRavin, Hattie McNeil, Effie Washington (Chris), Annette Rogers (Jay), Janette McNeil, Willie Moore (Sandra), Harvey McNeil (Val), Earleen Smith (Johnny) and Marlin Ratcliffe (Anthony); as well as a host of other family members both chosen and by blood.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

My uncle frankie was AWESOME! He was TRULY a great person and loved by many. And He ALWAYS spoke his mind. If you didn't want the truth, PLEASE DON'T ASK HIM...whatever enemies he may've had, probably was told the truth, but didn't like the answer... Im glad in our last conversation, i was able to tell him i love you and he responded I LOVE YOU TOO NIECE and that he's proud of me. Im glad to see that he was content and happy. Im extremely proud of my mom, aunties and uncle for taking such good care of keeping him straight!, which probably wasn't easy lol lol. I love you uncle Frankie, you will truly be missed FOREVER! You always talked about your 'mama'(my grandma), well now you both can fly HIGH together with no more sickness, no more pain, no more failures of this world. Only love and protection over us all. Now y'all behave yourselves until we meet again...love Nette
