Obituary For Roosevelt Hargrove, Jr.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the close of the day.

Mr. Roosevelt Hargrove, Jr., age 71, of Warren County, North Carolina departed this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, North Carolina. Reverend Monique Davis-Perry will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Sunset Gardens in Henderson, North Carolina.

Roosevelt’s memories will be forever cherished by his daughter, Tammy Williams (Larry) of Kenbridge, Virginia; his son, Kevin Hargrove (Felicia) of Palmer Springs, Virginia; his adopted daughter, Teresa Jiggetts (Nathan) of Suffolk, Virginia; seven grandchildren; one step-sister, Mattie Wright of New Jersey; one brother-in-law, Melford Hunt; one niece, Serina Hunt, one nephew, Micheal Hunt (Toma) of Queens, New York; two best friends, Scope Rainey and Butch Hunt; along with a host of other family and friends.

The body will be on view on Friday, January 31, 2020 starting at 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
