Obituary For Johnny Lee Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Johnny Lee Johnson, Jr., 68, departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2020 in Decatur, Georgia

Johnny Lee Johnson, Jr. was born August 2, 1951 to Christine Farley and Johnny Lee Johnson, Sr. in Eatonton, Georgia.

He graduated from Butler-Baker High School in 1969; where he was a star player on the basketball team. Johnny was drafted into the US Army from 1971 to 1973 and transferred to the Army Reserve before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1977.

Johnny married Martha Paul (Johnson) in January of 1975. In that same year, they moved to Atlanta where he began working for the Ivan Allen Company and started a family. In 1990, he moved the family to their first home in Decatur, Georgia.

Preceding him in death his mother, Christine Farley and father, Johnny Lee Johnson, Sr.

Johnny is survived by his devoted wife of forty-five years, Mrs. Martha Johnson; three children, Terence Johnson (Veronica), Adrian Johnson (Samantha) and Sheila Johnson; eight grandchildren, Tearra Johnson, Breyonna Johnson, Jeramiah Johnson, Caron Lewis, Shecaria Lewis, Camille Lewis, Karrington Johnson and Addyson Johnson; four devoted aunts, Eva Mullins, Minnie Johnson, Lillie Hargrove and Bessie Washington of Cleveland, Ohio and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Union Baptist Church, 240 M.L.K. Jr, Drive, Eatonton, Georgia, Mr. Johnson will be eulogized by his son, Adrian Johnson.

Visitation hours will be Friday, January 31, 2020 from 12:00-6:00 P.M.; Bernard's, The Eatonton Chapel.
