Obituary For Doritha Mimcy Jenkins

Doritha Mimcy Riles Jenkins, 98, of Palatka, FL was born on Thursday, October 20, 1921 to Arthur and Daisy W. Riles in Bradford County, FL. She was known as a very hard-working migrant employee, housekeeper, and a passionate love for taking care of children. Mother Jenkins met, fell in love, and married Mr. James Jenkins. She later accepted Christ into her life as her personal Lord and Savior and became a member of Grace and Truth Deliverance Ministries, Inc. under the pastoral leadership of her daughter, Apostle Cora B. Fells, where she served faithfully as a church mother. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, and spending countless hours with her four generation of grandchildren. Mother Doritha Mimcy Riles Jenkins made a graceful exit into her eternal realm of glory on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center surrounded by her loving daughter (Apostle Cora B. Fells) and devoted family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, James Jenkins; children, Leo Reason, Jr., Bertha Mae Smith, and Daisy; brothers, George B. Riles, Luchious Riles, Sr.; sister, and Willie Mae Riles Marshall. Those who will treasure her everlasting memories is her loving daughter, Apostle Cora B. Fells; 20 grandchildren; 54 great – grandchildren; 104 great – great grandchildren; 6 great – great – great grandchildren; Godchildren, Deon (Lashawn) Valentine, Nakia Fells, Willie Johnson; brother, Arthur Riles, Jr., Caretakers, Kaleen Tyndall and Ronice Reed; special devoted cousin, Elvis Clark; special friends, Jim Gilmore, Holton Warren, James Montgomery, and Patricia Milton, a host of relatives and caring friends.

The viewing will be 6:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at Grace and Truth Deliverance Ministry, Apostle Dr. Cora B. Fells, Pastor, Eulogist, and a Victory Celebration at 7:00p.m. The Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church Central Campus, Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Pastor. The burial will be in Oak Hill - West.
