Obituary For Lolita Renee Galloway

Lolita Renee Galloway, 44, of Eden, NC died January 28, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2020 at Star of Bethlehem Way of the Cross, Cascade, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Assembly Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Cascade, VA.

Lolita,“Pumkin” was born in Eden, NC. She was born May 12, 1975 to Viola Hairston and the late Charles E. Galloway in Rockingham County. She attended Henry County Schools and graduated from Laurel Park High School in Martinsville, VA in 1994. Lolita was a member baptized at Assembly Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Cascade, VA at the age of five. She was employed, doing homecare until her health did not allow her to.

Along with her father, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Lorranine Galloway, grandparents, James and Alberta Hairston and Oliver and Mary Norman Galloway of Axton, VA. She leaves to cherish her life and memories: mother; Viola Galloway-Swanson of Axton, VA, two sons; Shemar Hairston of Santa Barbara, CA, Dayshawn Hairston of the home, sister; Mary Artis (James) of Eden, NC, two brother; Charles Galloway, Sr. and Jerome Galloway (Rachael) both of Axton, VA, special companion; Charles Hairston of Eden, NC, two aunts; Gladys Harris (Cliff) of Eden, NC, Lelia Lieteau of Vinton, VA, two nephews; James Artis of Eden, NC, Charles E. Galloway, Jr. of Axton, VA, great nephew; Johnathon Kinzer, Jr., of Winston Salem, NC, niece; Alicia Kinzer (Johnathon Sr.) of Winston Salem, NC, special friends; Thelma and Edna Hairston of Graham, NC, a host of other relatives and friends.
