Obituary For Keuan La'Shawn Hall

A celebration of life for Mr. Keuan La'Shawn "Shug" Hall, 21, will be 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor L. L. Jacobs will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be in Kelly Springs Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Mr. Hall will be at the church one hour prior to the service. There will not be a public visitation on Sunday, February 2, 2020.

Mr. Keuan La’Shawn “Shug” Hall began life’s journey on Monday, July 13, 1998, in the city of Talladega, Alabama to the parentage of Tajuan Merritt and Keywana L. Hall.

Mr. Hall was a longtime devoted member of Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the usher board and as a member of the kitchen committee. Keaun was a member of the 2017 graduating class of Talladega High School. He was employed at McDonald’s in Lenlock and was about to begin a new career journey in Oregon the week of his passing. In his spare time, he enjoyed welding, baseball, fishing and was quite the handy man.

On Monday, January 27, 2020, Mr. Hall began his untimely eternal journey.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Tajuan (Sakia) Merritt and Keywana L. Hall of Talladega, Alabama and Timothy (Tasha) Simmons of Cedartown, Georgia; his grandparents, James and Portia Merritt, Lue Ann Hall, Celester (Lillian) Debardeldon and Arthur Lewis Kelly of Talladega, Alabama; great grandparents, Mary Alice Sillmon of Talladega, Alabama, Frank Lawson of Alpine, Alabama, Mable Kelly, Ollie J. Simmons, Daniel Simmons, Martha Jane (Sammie K.) Chatman and James (Dorothy) Merritt of Talladega, Alabama; four sisters, Fair N. Hall, Faith N. Hall, Kneco S. Hall and T’Jihyah Merritt of Talladega, Alabama; one brother, Isaiah Merritt of Talladega, Alabama; a stepsister, Dasia Allen of Talladega, Alabama; a stepbrother, Keshawn Allen of Talladega, Alabama; one uncle, Adrian (Rhonda) Hall of Talladega, Alabama; two aunts, Lishunda Hall (Roger Jones) of Talladega, Alabama and Denitra Merritt of Talladega, Alabama; five special cousins that were like brothers, Ke’Shawn Lawler, LaJameion Castleberry, Adrian Swain, Ashton Hall and Jace Roberson; four nieces, Skylen Merritt, Honesty Mathis, Naveia Hall and Raveyia Johnson; a special companion, Kacie Parker of Talladega, Alabama; a special friend, Cortney Porter of Talladega, Alabama; and a host of other aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
