James W. Smith, Sr., of Glen Allen, departed this life January 30, 2020. Surviving are his wife, Joyce C. Smith; two daughters, Kim N. Daye and Nicole N. Smith; one son, Michael Daye; 5 grandchildren; one brother; one sister; a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 14 W. Duval St. Rev. Tyrone Nelson, officiating. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
