JOHNNY RANDOLPH "RANDY" EARLEY, SR., succumbed to a peaceful rest on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Charlotte Rehabilitation Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born on August 27, 1950, in Hampton County, South Carolina, to the late Joe Early, Sr., and Sadie Harvey-Early.
He was educated in the public schools of Hampton County. After graduation, he furthered his studies at Gaston College and Cleveland Technical College, where he received his degree in electrical installation and maintenance.
In 1971, Randy and Veronica Kendrick had one daughter by the name of LaVonda M. Earley-Stacey.
He was united in marriage to Agusta Ann Sims in May 1976. This union lasted for five years, and they were blessed with one son, Johnny Randolph Earley, Jr.
Randy was employed by Wix-Affina in Gastonia, North Carolina, for over thiry-five years and received many accolades during his tenure. He was the owner/operator of Earley Cleaning Services, Inc., and an avid photographer, capturing many historical moments.
He believed in God and loved his family dearly. Randy was a loving father, brother, and uncle. He was adventurous and loved extravagant things.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings: Pearline Early, Ivory Lee Early, Willie (Sonny) Early, and Mary Lee Ulmer.
Randy leaves to cherish his fond memories: one daughter; LaVonda (Johnny) Stacey of Charlotte, NC; one son: Johnny (Erica) Earley, Jr., of Gastonia, NC; three grandchildren: Johnny Dejontae' Earley, Angel Douglas, and Aubree Lawrence; two sisters: Elouise Early and Annie Early-Dailey; two brothers: Joe Early, Jr., and Andrew (Samantha) Early; others he considered as his siblings: Marion Roberts, Joyce Roberts, and Beverly Roberts-Jenkins; A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; one special niece: Debra Ruth Hingleton; and one special friend: Deanie.
