Obituary For Mr. Willie Horton

Mr. Willie Horton transitioned from this life on Thursday, January 30, 2020. His funeral will be held 1:00PM on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at East White Oak Baptist Church, 1815 Water St, Greensboro, NC. Visitations will start 30min prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Woodard Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

I would like to extend belated condolences to the family of Willie Harris Horton who was my classmate at Grace Lutheran School from 1949 until 1951 and my classmate at the high school division of Immanuel Lutheran College from 1951 until 1955. To the family of Mr. Willie Horton, I just would like to let you know, he was a good man, he had an infectious laugh and a gentle way of bringing clarity and correction whenever needed... I should know, he brought it to my attention a few times and we were writing reports by pen and paper! My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family!

I talked to Willie by phone a week ago and we agreed that we had a good run together for over 20 years working at UNC-G. We were close friends as well as co-workers and knew we could depend on each other in any situation. But time takes it's toll and all good things come to an end. Goodbye old friend.
