Obituary For Diane Manor

Florence – Funeral service for Mrs. Diane Elizabeth Ashley-Manor will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, February 8, 2020 at J. O. & Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 S. Johns St., Florence. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Diane was born on February 20, 1955 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Mr. Clifton ‘TY” Ashley and Mrs. Katie Rosa Bell Session Ashley. She was called home to rest on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the age of 64 years young. Diane was a Florence native, graduating from Wilson High School. After graduation she lived in several other states in the country, Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and she lived out her remaining years in the DMV also known as DC (District of Columbia) Maryland and Virginia.

Diane was united in marriage to Simon P. Manor.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Heyward B. Ashley and Bobby C. Ashley; two sisters, Joan A. Kelly and Catherine Pendergrass; an uncle, James Session; and three aunts, Nollie Session Jones, Acadia Session, and Hessie Session.

Loved ones living on to keep her memories alive are: her husband, Simon P. Manor of Washington, District of Columbia; a son, Marvin (Melissa) Worthem, Sr. of Alexandria, Virginia; a step-son, David Manor of Washington, District of Columbia; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; ; three brothers, Marvin (Clarice) Ashley of Lorton, Virginia, Ronnie Ashley and Wayne Ashley both of Florence, South Carolina; two sisters, Linda L. Ashley of Florence, South Carolina and Marie Cooper of Tampa, Florida; one brother-in-law, Calvin (Cassandra) Manor of Washington, District of Columbia; two sisters-in-law, Violet (George) Pinkney and Lynn (Edward, Sr.) Johnson both of Washington, District of Columbia; three uncles, Herbert (Joyce) Session, Ben (Dorothy) Session, and Reverend George Ashley all of Florence, South Carolina; and a long list of nephews; nieces; other relatives; and friends.

The family will receive friends at 505 N. Brunson St., Florence, the home of her sister.
