Christian O'Shea Artis

Mr. Christian Artis, 24, died February 3, 2020. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m.Tuesday February 11, 2020 at New London Primitive Progressive Baptist Church, Walnut- Cove, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Christian started his journey on November 27, 1995 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital to Carnice and Phyllis Artis. His race ended on February 4, 2020 at the young age of 24. He attended SESJH where he was a member of the football team and wrestling team. He continued his love of the sport when he attended South Stokes High School from which he graduated on June 15, 2015 where he was a star athlete. He was an employee of McGee & Sons Construction. He preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Joann Welch and his paternal grandparents, Calvin and Henrietta Arts. He was a loving, happy and passionate person all the time to not only his family but his friends. He was humble and trusting friend, he was always in a good mood and was especially close to his brother Cee. Whatever you needed he was there for you, he would give you the shirt off of his back or the shoes off of his feet and if you ever met him you would never forget him. He was loved deeply by his family, he loved playing the guitar with his daddy, he was a person of many talents and now he's on center stage performing for the Lord and we are so blessed to have had him in our lives for 24 years. He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents; Carnice and Phyllis Artis of the home, one brother; Carnice Artis, Jr. (Maurika Penn) of Walnut Cove, NC, niece; Tamori Artis, nephew; Carnice Artis, III, seven aunts; Peggy Wilson (James), Wanda Artis, Adrenna Hairston (Barry) of Eden, NC, Kim Claybrooks (Perry) of Stoneville, NC, Robin Artis of Durham, NC, Rachel Williams of Greensboro, NC, Willie Mae Kellam (Calvin) of Madison, NC, two uncles; Bay and Tony Artis of Eden, NC, special friend; Cheyanne Barber, special family friend; Rhonda Kurth and Sheila, a host of other cousins, family and friends.
