Natasha Shala Mathis was born on April 28, 1977 in Gadsden, Alabama

to Will A. and Irish T. Mathis.

Natasha gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a creative and free-spirited child who loved reading, reciting the Word of God, and singing. She actively attended Thankful Baptist Church, Piedmont, AL. and St. Paul CME, Jacksonville, AL. She became a member of

Pentecostal Temple COGIC, Gadsden, AL.

Natasha graduated from Piedmont High School and attended Gadsden

State.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Houston & Evelyn

Taylor and Dorothy Mathis.

She leaves to cherish her memories; Two daughters, Myriah Funderburg, Weaver, AL. and Denise Mathis, Pennsylvania. Her parents, Will A. & Irish Mathis, Weaver, AL. Sister, LaBresher Mathis (Antonio) Gates, Jacksonville, AL. Three aunts, Mary (Radford) Prater, Weaver, AL, Michelle (Lionell) Whorton and Annie Pearl (Larry) Brookins. Four uncles, Supt. Larry (Sandra) Taylor, Omaha NE., Calvin (Mildred) Hutchinson, Michael (Phyllis) Taylor of Gadsden, AL., and Daryl (Sheryl) Moore of Covnia, CA. 5 great-aunts, 2 great uncles. Special niece, Natore’ A. Mathis, Weaver, AL. Special nephew, Darrel A. Mathis, North Carolina. A host of cousins, relatives and friends.
