Obituary For Kelvin Mallett, Sr.

"A TIME TO BE BORN" Kelvin Mallett, Sr. was born on May 11, 1972 to the late Franklin & Willie Mallett of Sallis, MS. He was strong in his Christian Faith. Kelvin joined Macedonia M.B. Church and accepted Christ at an early age.

"A TIME TO WORK" Kelvin attended grade school at Long Creek and was a 1991 graduate from McAdams High School. Kelvin would assist his father with welding & farm work so after high school he went on to pursue his passion of welding. Kelvin attended Holmes Community College where he graduated in 1993 with a trade in welding. After college Kelvin took his quest on the road with his brother Franklin "Superman". Kelvin & his brother traveled all over the world which how he mastered his craft in welding in 1994.

"A Time To Live and Love" Kelvin met his dearly beloved wife Kinina & from this union they were Blessed with three children. After having the children so closely together Kinina asked Kelvin to take a break & stay home to help raise their children & humbly he agreed and went to barbering school so he could be home with them. Many that knew him knew that whenever he was at the barbershop he always had three small little ones with him in the back room keeping up noise. When the children were older Kelvin expressed that he wanted to start his quest back to his real passion "Welding". Kelvin was a member of local 619 Pipe Fitters and Plumbers local union of Vicksburg, MS. Kelvin hobbies were riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Cruising in his 1969 Chevy hard top and being with his family. He was a humble person he never met a stranger and often greet everyone with a smile. He was a great friend to many he was very honest and trustworthy.

"A Time To Die" The Lord called Kelvin home in Vicksburg, MS on Monday, February 03, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin & Willie Mallett; three brothers: Franklin Mallett, Jr., Willie Frank Mallett and Baby Mallett.

"A Time To Mourn" Kelvin leaves to cherish his memories his dearly beloved wife Kinina Mallett; one beautiful daughter, Madison Necole Mallett; two sons, Kevin Mallett, Jr. and Kameron Mckezie Mallett; three sisters, Dianne (Tyrone) Estes, Machelle (Bruce) Harmon, Maire Mallett; one brother, Tommy Joe Mallett; one mother-n-law, Lottie Kern; two sister-in-laws, Keeley Harris & Bettie Mallett; one brother-in-law, Terry Gentry; a host of very close, loving and supportive uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
