Ms. Mattie Square, 92, of Smiths Station, AL, passed Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Smiths Station, AL.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Motts Church of Christ, Smiths, AL with Bro. McArthur Cooper, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2020 from 12-7 p.m. EST.

Sweetnin is gone but not forgotten. Aunt Mattie was never a quitter. I can recall the days of the Motts Accapella singers. Never did she miss one practice or engagement. The last time I spoke to her she was just beaming. Shows how God takes care of his own. I will always love you Aunt Mattie and hold your memories in my heart.
