Mrs. Susie Kate Middlebrooks Jackson

Mrs. Susie Kate Middlebrooks Jackson was born August 10, 1936, to the late Mrs. Hannah Woodard Middlebrooks in Yatesville, Upson County, GA. She received her early education in the public schools of Upson County. At an early age, she joined Pine Grove Baptist Church. In her early womanhood, she married Mr. Emmitt Carnell. To help support her family, she was employed as a private duty housekeeper for severs Upson County families. She was the mother of two girls, Norma and Sabrina. She took care of her children and loved her grandchildren. Her husband, Mr. Emmitt Carnell preceded her in death, and in her later years she married Mr. Allen Jackson. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking. She loved feeding others and watching them enjoy her meals. She loved shopping at thrift stores and yard sales, decorating, and walking. Her favorite food was fried chicken. She loved working with her seashell hobby, making gifts to give to family, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Emmitt Carnell; one grandson, Desmond Grantling; two sisters, Minnie Pearl Middlebrooks and Ethel Jean Holloway; and four brothers, Calvin (Lillie Pearl) Middlebrooks, Horace (Carrie Mae) Middlebrooks, Tommie Middlebrooks, and Sydney Middlebrooks. On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, the Lord called her home from labor to reward. Her spirit took flight and went home to rest. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and her entire family. She leaves to cherish her memory; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Blackwell of Thomaston, GA and Ms. Sabrina Carnell of Palmetto, GA; two granddaughters, Ms. Ynessha Carnell of Thomaston, GA, and Ms. Tiffany Chapman, and Antwon Moreland; a devoted nephew, Mr. Anthony Middlebrooks , both of Atlanta, GA; two devoted friends, Ms. Linda Robinson and Ms. Barbara Jean King , both of Thomaston, GA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service were held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 1:00 P.M. George E. Trice Jr., Memorial Chapel Interment Gray’s Chapel Cemetery
