Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., Collis Hill Church of Christ Holiness, USA, 1653 Moncure Marble Road, Terry, MS 39170 with burial in Collis Hill Church Cemetery, 1652 Moncure Marble Road, Terry, MS 39170.

George W. Smith was born January 2, 1927 to the late Nesby and Magge Smith in Terry, Mississippi. He received his early childhood education at Pilgrim Rest School.

At an early age he accepted Christ and united with Collis Hill Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A. in Terry, Mississippi. At a young age he was marred to the late Gueirl Lee Dixon. They made their home in Terry and had a beautiful family.

He enjoyed working at Hinds County District five for many years. After he retired, he went on to sell snowballs that he and his dedicated wife Gueirl Lee helped him make the snowball juice and picked off peanuts to sell. He loved meeting people and going out on his snowball truck.

He leaves to mourn his death, seven children, four daughters; Mary Lois Wells (Percy) of Terry, Mississippi, Patricia Collins of Terry, Mississippi, Lillie Thompson of Jackson, Mississippi, and Denise Spencer (Marvin) of Dallas, Texas; three sons, Billy Smith (Cheryl) of Jackson, Mississippi, Jerry Smith (Carolyn) of Kansas City, Missouri and Charles Smith (Karen) of Terry, Mississippi; three sisters; Bobbie McDonald of Jackson, Mississippi, Mary Means of Terry, Mississippi, Dean Wiley (James) of Jackson, Mississippi, numerous of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
