Obituary For Robert L. Hall

Robert L. Hall, 88, of Brooklyn, NY, died Saturday, February 8, 2020. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Mary D Perry Chapel, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel.

Robert was born on June 22, 1931 to the late James and Annie Hall. On Saturday, February 8, 2020 he passed away at Spring Creek Nursing Home in Brooklyn, New York. Robert grew up with his three sisters: Henrietta, Luvenia and Annie and one brother, James. Later in life he had two other sisters, Linda Walker (Marvin) & Barbara (Ronald) and another brother, Odean to join the family. Robert married Mabel (Booe) and they had four children (Robert, Jr., Diane, James and Carl) which they raised in Jamaica Queens and Brooklyn, NY. He worked for Silverman Machines as a machinist and his favorite pastime hobbies was fishing and playing cards. After retiring he joined his wife and moved back to Walnut Cove, NC. There he became a member of Rising Star Baptist Church where he was in the choir. Robert was also preceded in death by his wife, Mabel, his sons, Robert, James and grandson, Dejuan. He leaves behind: his daughter; Diane, son; Carl (Maria), his grandson; Shannon (Kim), 5 great-grandchildren; Jazmin, Kiane, Justin, Lahrell, Dante and Kindra. His sisters-in-law; Margaret Robertson and Diane Booe, his sisters; Linda and Barbara, his brother; Odean, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
