Obituary For Louis Barnett

Louis Barnett, age 82, of Oakland, California, formerly of Athens, GA passed on February 6, 2020. Survivors include: his wife, Nell Barnett; one son, Michael Barnett, both of Oakland, CA; and one sister, Cordelia Allen, Athens, GA. I just like to say that Uncle Barney was like an uncle and family to me I am Raymond Pierce's oldest daughter Kelly my dad died which was one of Barney's best friend on November 16th 2022 I was so sad to hear of Uncle Barney demise God bless

My deepest sympathy to his family and all who loved him. I met Barney while working for Bay Area Purchasing Council. He later hired me to work for him at the San Francisco Business Development Center. We continued to be friends when I went to work with Arcata Management. Barney, Marx (SBA Ex Dir), Chuck (Opportunity Capital) and Buck (Arcata) were pivotal in the trajectory of my leadership path. We ran into each other a few years ago outside of Scott's in JLS. Rest In Peace my friend. You will be missed.
