Mrs. Barfield was my favorite teacher. She made history a joy. She was a great teacher and personality was infectious. She will be missed.

Mrs. barfield was one of my very favorite high school history teachers! She definitely made world history a lot of fun to learn and told us all a lot about history and voting and other things she simply was the best. As one of our assignments we had to do our family tree and I have to give her credit for sparking my interest in my own genealogy She shared her own genealogy with all of us and found her family and her to be quite interesting and her love of her beloved Airedale dogs that she always talked about in class at some point. she will be very much missed God bless her and her family

I've only met my cousin Ellen several times throughout the years and I can honestly say that she was very kind and loving. I can remember going to her house and there she was with her dog popsicle. They were inseparable, she told me she taught History and loved it a lot. If there was one thing that I loved about her it was her willingness to live in the moment. I love and miss you cousin Ellen

Ellen and I affectionally called each other "cradle to grave friends". We met in the baby beds at the FUMoC in Springfield and graduated in 1964 from SHSp after 12 years of being in the same home rooms. We traveled together, spent time together on many trips as well S spending many nights in rack others home. The last couple of years brought changes to our lives which kept us apart. I will always have a place in my heart for her no matter what I love you Ellen. RIP my friend.

I knew Ellen from a very young age. Her father and my mother both worked at 638 Tire Company. We all attended the same church. Ellen was a very friendly, outgoing person. I have a lot of fond memories of her and her family. She is in God's hands now. My prayers for the family and friends.
