Obituary For Ms. Nannie Mack

Ms. Nannie Lee Mack, 78, peacefully transitioned from earthly life to enter eternal rest at her residence on Friday, February 21, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 27, 1941, a daughter of the late Henrietta Mack Harper. She was the oldest of nine children. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Harper; brothers, Johnny Smith and James Harper. Nannie attended Rosetta Baldwin School. After graduating, she moved to Pontiac, MI and worked at Phoenix Nursing Home as a CNA for over 30 years. After retiring, she relocated back to High Point, NC. Nannie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. At other times she would watch her favorite television show, “Law & Order.” Her favorite color was red. Red is a color that is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination, as well as passion, desire and love. Nannie showed some of these qualities. Those she leaves to cherish her memory are daughters, Flora Mack Little and Julia Haywood (Ricky); six grandchildren, Kenny Mack (Picola), Anthony Little (Dana), Todd Mack, Amelia Mack-Foddrell (Matthew), Eva Haywood-Isley (Terrance) and Ricky Haywood, Jr.; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sister, Tolisa Mitchell; brother, Henry Harper; special nieces and nephews who were close to her heart, Nina Clark (Roger), Gracie and Jason McCollum; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy, 1100 Stanton Place. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
