Obituary For Lorenzo Jones, Jr.

Lorenzo Jones Jr. "June" was born on February 23, 1956 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Ollie Mae Jones and the late Lorenzo Jones, Sr. After a long, strong and courageous fight he peacefully gained his wings on February 21, 2020. As a young child June and his parents relocated to Richmond, Virginia where he was educated in the Richmond Public School System. After high school he became employed with Symbol Mattress and was still employed there until his health began to fail. June later became a father of four wonderful children whom he loved dearly. He loved his children with all his heart and later extended that love to two beautiful grandchildren. June dedicated himself to his family and everyone knows his mother was his pride and joy. Known for his vibrant personality, magnetic sense of humor and affectionate smile, June was loved by everyone that came in contact with him. He loved music, basketball, fishing, his job, having a good time and we can not forget his love for women. June bonded and developed long lasting friendships with those he cared for. With a smile that could light up any room he entered, June touched many lives and although we loved him God loved him best. SLEEP WELL OUR ANGEL, YOU GAVE YOUR ALL IN THIS WORLD SO OTHERS WOULD BE "OK".JOB WELL DONE THY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Jones; son, Lorenzo Poindexter; father, Lorenzo Jones Sr.; two sisters, Sherry "Mutt" Jones and Georgia "Gail" Yarborough and grandson, Ayden Brockenbrough.
