Obituary For Ethel Lee Patterson

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ethel Lee Patterson of Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on February 24, 2020 at Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn, Georgia, will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Madison Avenue Church of God by Faith with the Pastor, Elder Dr. Larry W. Coffee, officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Ethel Lee Patterson was born on August 28, 1938 in Crisp County, Georgia to the late Mr. Roosevelt Washington and the late Mrs. Hattie Mae Mack.

Attending the Crisp County Public School System, Ethel Lee received her education with the class of "1954".

She confessed her faith and received the Lord as her personal savior, and later joined the Independent Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend O. Z. Blakely.

Ethel was affectionately known as "Ep", "Ethel Lee", and most of all, "Mama". She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many.

Ethel Lee transpired on February 24, 2020, while as a patient at Pruitt Health care in Ashburn, Georgia. Her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and a daughter, Marilyn Denise Patterson, all have preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories seven children: Dorothy (Nicky) Walker, Brenda Moore, James (Deborah) Patterson, all of Ashburn, Georgia, Linda Flagg of Adel, Georgia, Shirlean Vail of Ashburn, Georgia, Danny (Vanessa) Patterson of Tifton, Georgia; seventeen grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren; her siblings Eva Mae Brown, Betty Davis, Willie Frank (Chanel) Washington, Tyrone Washington, all of Ashburn, Georgia, Bertha (Willie) Carrithers of Tampa, Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
