Celebration of Life For Teresia Raye Edwards Funeral Service: Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 12:00 PM New Hope Baptist Church 1740 Cleburn Avenue SW Birmingham, AL 35211 Officiant: Dr. Gregory L. Clarke, Pastor TheObituary Teresia R. Edwards was born to the late Charlie and Rosa Lee Edwards. Teresia was affectionately known as “KiKi”. She was a graduate of Jones Valley High School and also attended Lawson State Community College. To know “KiKi” was to love her. She spoke her mind but always with love. Teresia took up music at a very early age. Her gift of music allowed her to serve as musician at numerous churches such as: Peace & Goodwill, St. Luke Baptist Church, St. John Baptist Church, The Cairo-Brownsville Male Chorus and many others around the city and state. Teresia was a dedicated worker. She served twenty-seven (27) years at Buffalo Rock. They were more than just co-workers, they became extended family. She loved them and they loved her even as her health began to decline. Teresia leaves to mourn, her only daughter, Chiniqua T. Edwards (Birmingham, AL), her favorite aunt, Geraldine Jones (Atlanta, GA), One beloved Grandbaby, Meredith Nse Walker (Birmingham, AL), Aunts: Priscilla Cole (Birmingham, AL), Jan Mays (Birmingham, AL), Cora McCall (Birmingham, AL); Uncles: George Jones (Birmingham, AL), Arthur Lee Williams (Birmingham, AL), Willie Edwards (Birmingham, AL); Her favorite Cousins: Vanessa (Rena) Johnson (Birmingham, AL), Malinda Simmons (Birmingham, AL), Arthur and Brenda Martin (Birmingham, AL), Her one and only best friend, Sonya Bell (Birmingham, AL), Proceeding her in death, Brother Tommy Fair (Birmingham, AL) along with a host of other family members and friends.
