Obituary For Jimmy Wells

Jimmy Wells, 67, of Blytheville passed away Saturday, February 29,2020 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born April 1, 1952 in Blytheville and was the son of Willie James and Lula Lewis Wells. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jerry Wells and Willie Wells, Jr. one sister Paulette Walker. Jimmy leaves to forever cherish his memory, sons Africa (Farrah) Wells, Carlos Wells (Amber Ramos) all of Blytheville, Arkansas; daughters Robbie-Wells (Cedric) Junearick of Madison, Alabama; and Ebony -Wells (William) Brown of Blytheville, Arkansas; his loving companion, Karen Duncan of the home; brothers, James (Barbara) Wells, Benny Wells, his twin brother Johnny (Faye) Wells, Cordell Wells, Billy Joe Wells, Charles (Debra) Wells, and Danny Wells all of Blytheville, Arkansas; sisters, Nancy (Curtis) Jackson of Blytheville, Arkansas; Mary Jane Wells of San Antonio, Texas; Linda ( John) Tally of Little Rock, Arkansas and Sharon Luster of Blytheville, Arkansas, 22 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 515 East Sawyer Street, Blytheville, Arkansas. Pastor Clark Phillips will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.

My papaw was an amazing man. The definition of a grandfather. While we were kids, he would blow us up bouncy houses, and water slides so we could play all day. He taught us how to ride our bikes, how to wash dishes. I miss him so much.
