Obituary For Mr. Robert J. Moore

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Robert J. Moore on March 08, 2020. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 2:00pm at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel.

Mr. Robert James Moore, Jr was born September 20, 1958 in Columbus, Mississippi to the union of Robert James Moore, Sr. and Nancy Ruth Wallace Moore. He graduated from S.D. Lee High School in May of 1977. He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1978. Robert boarded the USS Oldendorf docked at San Diego Bay in California. He served eight years during which he received the Presidential Humanitarian Medal in 1980, the Naval Good Conduct Award, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon in 1982. He moved to Decatur, Georgia in 1991 where he resided. He then decided to attend Georgia Technical College where he received a Security Guard License. He transitioned at the age of 61, Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Harbor Grace Hospice of Wellcare Atlanta Medical Hospital around 1:00pm surrounded by family. Robert leaves to honor his memories, two brothers, Curtis E. Moore, Sr, and Everett L. Moore, both of Atlanta, GA; one uncle, Benny James Wallace, Largo, Florida; six nephews; two nieces and a host of cousins.
