A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Revelation Community Missionary Baptist Church, 7225 E. Chelsea Street Tampa, Tampa 33610, Pastor Rev. Dr. G.B. Robinson, eulogist, Minister Ebou Howard, officiating. Earthly interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Tampa.
Ollie Mae Branton Myers was born October 27, 1940, to the parentage of the late John Wesley Branton and Annie B McGee Branton in Tallahassee, Florida. Through her education in Leon County Public Schools, she graduated from East Lincoln High School. After relocating to Tampa, Florida, she met and married the late Elliston Myers Sr. and became widowed at a young age. Her professing of Christ was exemplified in her love for others and to her family it was unconditional. Every dish she prepared was full of the perfect touch of soul. Major League Baseball was her favorite sport.
Memories of her love and life will forever be cherished by her children, Sons: Andrew Miller and Frank Smith, Jr. of Tallahassee, Fl., and Elliston Myers, Jr. and beloved friend Kimberly Clarke of Tampa, Fl; her only Daughter: Jessie Mae Dupins of Tallahassee, Fl; Grandchildren: Javon Miller, Christopher Myers, Darius Givens, Elliston Myers III, Felicia Clarke and James Clarke; great-grandchildren: Dasia Givens, Messiah Thompson-Givens, Nicholas Givens and Darius Givens Jr.; Brothers: James Branton and wife Evangelist Marie of Monticello, Fl., Rev. Ondra Branton and wife Letcher of Midway, Fl.; a dearest Sister: Catherine Gaines and husband Lloyd of Quincy, Fl.; an Aunt: Pinkie Lee Ferrell of Woodville, Fl.; special Nieces and Nephews: Geraldine Givens, Aretha McGeathey and husband Duncan, Cathy Howard and husband Michael and Tempie Myles; Eddie Lee Myles and wife Angela and her beloved Nephew Deacon Amos Castillo and wife Gloria; Godchildren: Cameronita Johnson and Ja’Liya Myles; longtime Friends: Joyce Arnold and Roberta Walden and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
A Wake Service will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Integrity Funeral Chapel, 3822 E. 7th Ave. Tampa with family receiving visitation with friends from 7-8 p.m. All Family and Friends are requested to assemble on Saturday at the church at 10:45 a.m.
