Obituary For Diane Madison Harris

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Diane M. Harris of 600 Perry Drive, Apt. 459, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia with the Reverend Troy Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John Baptist Church Cemetery in Sunsweet, Georgia.

Mrs. Diane Madison Harris, daughter of the late Henry Lee Westbrooks and Della Mae Sampson-Madison, was born on March 11, 1957 in Sycamore, Georgia. She attended school in the Turner County Public School System.

Diane gave her life to Christ and joined the St. John Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a member of the Usher Board.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Lewis Harris.

Diane Harris was a spiritually enriched person whose love and wisdom nurtured and abundantly blessed everyone with whom she encountered.

On Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, God whispered to this soldier on the battlefield to “Lay down your sword and shield, and rest. Your work is done.” Her father, her mother, A special Aunt Minnie Mae Ford, her sisters, Beatrice Henry, Carrie Mae Byrd, Ollie Mae Byrd, Mary Frances Weaver, Marquerit Westbrooks, her brothers, Henry Lee Westbrooks and Arthur Madison, all have preceded her in death.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her husband, Mr. Willie Lewis Harris; her children, Lisa L. Madison of McDonough, Georgia, Rodriquez Madison of Warner Robins, Georgia, Stephanie Harris of Arabi, Georgia, William L. Harris of Carrabelle, Florida, Sophia (Lester) Martin of Ashburn, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren, Tre’, Ka’Nijah, Zytecqua, Zymelia, Jah’lia, Ja’Killiam, Justin, Ka’Merial, Christian, Caleb, Zyniqua, Shiloh, and Zyla; her brothers, D.J. (Ethel) Davis, Otis Madison, Jr., Nathaniel (Della) Madison, Andrew Westbrooks, Joe Madison, Apudo Westbrooks, all of Ashburn, Georgia, Lonnie B. (Mary) King of Pineview, Georgia, Billy Madison of Fort Pierce, Florida; her sisters, Catherine Lindsey, Frankie L. Madison, Caroline (Jerry) Dawson, Mary Jean Westbrooks, Patricia Duncan; all of Ashburn, Georgia, Minister Linda Fay (Joseph) Haynes of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Marie (Julius) Williams of Sylvester, Georgia, Mildred Lee Westbrooks, Shirley Westbrooks, both of Patterson, New Jersey, Annie (John) Phillips of Enigma, Georgia; a special niece who she raised as her own, Tondra R. Madison of Huntsville, Alabama; beloved nieces and nephews who adored her, Dominique, Skyler, Mason and Robert; a dear daughter-in-love, Felicia Lewis Madison of Vienna, Georgia; and a host of nephews, nieces and other family and friends.
