Obituary For Charles John "Lil Meat" Wade, Jr.

Charles "Lil Meat" John Wade, Jr., 47, of Richmond, departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Charles, a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan, had a zest for life with an infectious smile and will be missed. He is survived by four children, Bria Moore, D’Corey Wilson, Charles Wade III, and Shyea Ball; mother, Jacquelin Wade; father and stepmother, Charles Sr. and Deborah Wade; a devoted sister and caregiver, Iris Hatten (Jimi); paternal grandmother, Jeanette Wade; a niece, Tiara Wade; two nephews, Jonathan and David Hatten; aunts and uncles, one devoted, Doris Gross; and a host of cousins, family and friends, two devoted, Shanty Scrivener and James Fobbs. Special thanks to the Hospice of Virginia (Retreat) staff and the Chippenham Hospital Heart Team. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at Scott’s Chapel, 116 East Brookland Park Boulevard "Due to the governor's declaration, only the immediate family is requested to attend services."
