My father was the best father a child could only dream of having. For 60 years, I've had a lifetime of memories and love and have truly blessed to have Ocie as my father. I can still here his voice telling me go ahead with your bad self. My father taught me a work ethic to not let anyone out work you son. Go to work early and do not leave until the work was completed. My dedication to his work ethic inspired me to be the best at whatever I chose to do in life. I excelled at life and proudly passed these morals onto my children. Nothing in life is free, he would always tell me,you have to earn your way which starts with education and respect for others. Treat people the way you would like to be treated. My whole life I wanted to make my parents proud. I know I achieved my goals because he always told me he loved me and that I made him proud. I share this memory with the public and want you to know how proud I am of my father. I also want you to know we shared these conversations between us long before my father became I'll. My Dad was the most insightful, delightful, caring man I have ever came across. I know this because he had an impact on everyone he ever interacted with and I will miss him until my eternity. R.I.P LOVE YOU, Jerry
