Obituary For Sadie Mae Garrett Shelborne

A private graveside service will be held for Mrs. Sadie Mae Garrett Shelborne at Lane Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 12-5 p.m.

Sadie Mae Garrett Shelborne began earthly journey on Friday, September 26, 1929 in Talladega, Alabama to the union of George Garrett and Daisy Reese Garrett.

Ms. Shelborne was a member of Champion Church. She received her education in Talladega County where she attended Lane Chapel School. Sadie worked for a number of years at Wehadkee Yarn Mills.

On Sunday, March 15, 2020, Sadie began her eternal journey at Sylacauga Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in passing by her parents, George and Daisy Garrett; two sisters, Naomi Simmons and Ola Bell Roberson; and three great granddaughters, Nazeria Walker, Reagin Walker and Saxon A. H. Garrett.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one loving son, Willie J. Garrett of Lincoln, Alabama; four grandchildren, Masagedreian (Warren) Bryson, Wilkesheia McGregor, Cataurus Garrett and Melissa (Corey) Towns; and eight great grandchildren, JaJuan (Adelita) Grant, Zarius Grant, Deiana Walker, Tayelaur Towns, Tai Jhan Towns, Corri Towns, JaKae'la McGregor and JaWaylon McGregor; five great-great grandchildren, Mateo Grant, Alinea Grant, Sa'Rhi Grant, Kamira Brown and Silas Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
