My Daddy said it's never bad to take a trip as long as you know your destination When the train pulled away from the station Fred was the only passenger in coach He was offered a seat in first class but said no I'm comfortable where I am As the train slowed as it neared the platform the station master announced we're in the last curve and will be arriving in Heaven shortly As Fred stepped off the train he was asked did he have any baggage with a smile that only he could give he said no I laId my burdens down a few days ago He was asked what he was going to do for clothes he said there's a pair of golden slippers a long white robe and a royal diadem awaiting me The station master asked how come he didn't want the seat he was offered in first class He looked around with outstretched arms and said I wanted to stretch my legs before I strolled down Blessed Boulevard As he entered the pearly gates music could be heard and that quiet gentle man started singing in a loud boisterous voice I made it I made it thank GOD almighty I made it!! Marvin L Henderson Kent OH Nephew of Lulabelle and Gordon Willis I fondly remember Fred standing in the yard smiling and waving each time I turned off Airport Rd onto Winnwood as I visited with those lyin Willis boys Baby Terry and Baby Jerry

My desire was to see you all and to be there just to tell you that I love you and that my heart goes out to you;that I'm praying for your comfort and peace as you mourn the loss of Fred. We go back to Spring Street; that's a lot of time and a lot of memories of most of you. Know that you are not alone; you never are. Even when people aren't there for whatever reason, God sees and knows. Draw nigh to Him and He'll draw nigh to you. I love you, Ms Olean, Lessie and all of you. I bless you in Jesus name.

It gives us great pleasure to have known a warm and compassionate person as Brother Fred. He was indeed a great man, husband, father, friend, and most of all a great servant. His smile was contagious and he was a willing worker for his church as well as to the community. He did not know the word no. Fred had a weakness for elderly people. He was so kind, gentle, respectable, and patient with them. He showered them with unconditional love. He had unbelievable energy . Bro Fred was God sent. He put others first before himself. He was a man of integrity and had a heart of gold. He paved the way for others to follow. So Bro Fred your light will shine forever. Your work is finished here on earth . You have received your rewards in heaven. To Olean and to the family may you find comfort knowing that Bro Fred is celebrating with his eternal Father. We will love you forever...Calhoun family, Wynn family, Mary E Sims, Mary E Bell (deceased)
