MRS. FRANCES GREENE CLARK, daughter of the late William Thorne and Eliza Frances Green was born October 2, 1960 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life suddenly March 16, 2020 at VCU-Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Hill.

At an early age she was baptized and joined M. A. King Memorial Apostolic Church, South Hill, VA. She attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools.

Frances was employed by Hardees and later as a Home Health Care Worker until she became disabled.

Frances was married to the late Charles Junior Clark. In her spare time she enjoyed word puzzles, playing cards, and coloring. She also loved to make “home-made biscuits.”

Frances leaves to mourn 3 children- Klarissa Greene (Stanley Woods), South Hill, VA; Quawndedra (Melvin, Jr.) Mason, Killeen, TX, and Charlesette Clark, South Hill, VA; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters- Vassie Greene Boyd, Philadelphia, PA; Mary Greene, South Hill, VA; Alicia (Kenneth) Payne, Richmond, VA; Cornelia Pratt, South Hill, VA, and Deborah Pratt, White Plains, VA; 2 brothers- Valeton Pratt, Sr., Lawrenceville, VA and Clarence (Angela) Greene, Richmond, VA; 4 sisters-in-law, Bessie Clark, Baskerville, VA; Martha Clark, South Hill, VA, Sheree Crawley, Baskerville, VA and Sarah Clark, Petersburg, VA; brother-in-law, Bobby Winkler, Richmond, VA; 1 aunt- Cordell (T.J.) Harris, South Hill, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

I just found out tonight about Frances- we worked together at Hardees for years, and always had a kind word for everyone she met. I will miss her, but I am glad she is no longer suffering.
