Obituary For Sylvia Howard

Sylvia B. Howard, age 80, of Richmond, VA departed this life on March 18, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Howard; parents, Esther and Sylvester Thomas, Sr.; two brothers, Sylvester Jr. and Joseph Thomas; two sisters, Deloris James and Naomi Carter; and step-daughter, Michelle Howard.

She is survived by her son, Maceo Venable (Sheryl); step-son, Roger L. Howard (Blanche); four grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence Thomas, and Ivory, Timonthy, and Joseph Hickman; three sisters, Queen Thomas, Margaret White (Willie), and Henrietta Gregory; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held 1 - 8 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2020 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family has entrusted final arrangements to Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA.

It was such a pleasure to meet and visit with Mrs. Howard while visiting my aunt at Manor Care. Mrs. Howard was always pleasant and receptive to all visitors. I will miss our visits but I feel that you are resting with our Heavenly Father. Jessie White (Mrs. Bright's niece)

I cared for Ms Howard several years ago, I was her primary visiting nurse, caring for her in her home.. She was so conscientious in her own care, but also considerate and kind to me. I remember her and smile each time I drive down Grace Street

Aunt Sylvia I thank you for all you have been to me. Will always have a lot of appreciation for you. I am so sorry what you had to endure but you are in the arms of the Lord now.
