Obituary For Mrs. Ardenia Hough

Mrs. Ardenia Dumas Hough departed this earthly life of March 19, 2020 at Westwood Health Rehabilitation Center. Ardenia was born October 4, 1929 in Wadesboro, NC to the late Ben Dumas and Jannie Rickett Dumas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arlee Hough; a daughter, Nellie Hough Smith; grandson, Darrius Hough and all 9 siblings. She was the youngest of 10 siblings.

Ardenia was a very devoted wife, mother who loved her family. She was a great cook and was known for her homemade biscuits.

She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Jannie Neal, Rosa Alston, Shirley Hough and Deborah Hough all of High Point, NC; sons, Terry Hough of High Point, NC, Robert (Inez) Hough of Thomasville, NC, Wallace Hough and Andre Hough of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Kenny Hough, Adrean Smith, Lendon Smith, Debbie Smith, Tina (Jeremy) Hoskins, Michelle Neal, Rico Alston, Carlos (Charlene) Hough, Trey Mack, Michael Neal, Erick Neal, Jacqueline Neal, Christian Neal and Jonathan Neal; twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; one special niece, Bernice Simpson of Wadesboro, NC.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
