Born in St. Clair, Alabama in 1936, she received her primary education at Lowndes County Training School. She was employed for 26 years at Maxwell Air Force Base/ MWR-Billeting Services. Dorothy was a long-time member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was an active until her health declined. She is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Rudolph, son, Raymond Rudolph and daughter Debra Rudolph. Those left to cherish her memories are six children: Marvin J. White (Dorothy), Brenda R. Dowdell, Pamela J. Rudolph, Carl L. Rudolph, Gregory A. Rudolph and Christine R. Rudolph; daughter-in-law, Jean Rudolph; eight grandchildren; Rejernare Rudolph, Kamika Rudolph, Tiffani Rudolph, James Whiteside III, Rasheema Chavis, Brittany White, Raymond Rudolph, Jr. and Skyla Gaston; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A grave-side burial is planned for March 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery Annex. The family will hold a memorial service/celebration of life at New Hope Baptist Church at a date to be determined.
